Back to School Plan 2020
The Sam Rayburn ISD Administration Team has worked hard to create health and safety protocols for a safe return to school in August. The conditions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic are continually evolving. Once published, Sam Rayburn ISD’s health and safety protocols will be constantly evaluated to adapt to the continuing guidance from our local health department.
In early July, we contacted our parents to get an idea of which learning method our families would prefer. At the time of the survey, a large percentage of our families preferred in-school instruction, while less than 10% preferred at-home learning.
We realize the situation changes frequently. However, parents will be asked to make a commitment and choose between in-person learning or at-home learning for the first three weeks. If you are choosing at-home learning, please complete the Remote Learning Form that is linked within our Back to School Plan. We ask that parents please complete the form by August 10th.
Please read over our plan carefully. If you still have further questions or concerns, there will be a form available for you to submit those directly to our SRISD Administration Team. We want to make sure every question or concern is addressed. We appreciate our families partnering with us to educate the wonderful students at SRISD.
