Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!

Land of the Free and Home of the Brave

Sam Rayburn ISD hosted our second annual Veterans’ Day Celebration this past Wednesday. Stephanie Cline and several others worked hard to make this event a success. Present were veterans from every branch of our military-Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and the Coast Guard. The event brought tears to the eyes of many at the conclusion of the ceremony when students and faculty lined the hallways and gave a standing ovation to the veterans as they took their “walk of fame.” To cap...

New Year--Off to a Great Start!

It is hard to believe that we have already reached the end of the first six-weeks grading period. We are off to a great start and moving forward into the 2015-2016 school year. Our enrollment is up, student attendance is above 96% and we have added new classes. In addition, 100% of our teachers meet the definition of being “highly qualified.” All of these numbers are positive and demonstrate that we are moving in the right direction. Dear Sam Rayburn ISD Community, Let me begin by saying “Thank You” to the voters of Sam Rayburn ISD who turned out to approve the bond proposal on May 9th. Because of your support, students will benefit from additional classrooms, an updated cafeteria, more secure entrances, and a new vocational building.
