New Graduation Requirements for the 2021-2022 School Year

 

House Bill 3 (HB3) – Financial Aid Application

New Graduation Requirement

Beginning in 2021-2022, each 12th grade student must do one of the following in order to graduate:

• complete and submit a free application for federal student aid (FAFSA)

• complete and submit a Texas application for state financial aid (TASFA)

• submit a signed opt-out form

 

Parents of the Class of 2022!

In order to satisfy graduation requirements, SRISD must have proof of completion. Depending on the option you complete, please submit the following to Mrs. Chambliss no later than February 15, 2022:

  • Students completing an online FASFA application will be given a confirmation completion page. Please bring a copy of this confirmation page as proof of completion.
  • Students competing the linked TASFA application can submit a signed copy of the completed form as proof of completion.
  • Students opting out can submit a signed copy of the opt-out form that is linked above.
